It is very difficult for most of us to imagine we are living in a place where one lacks a roof over one’s head, a safe haven to retreat to throughout the day. Is it not? It is pretty unfortunate to note that some people have to deal with such difficulties in life. Far too many people and families deal with the harsh reality of homelessness and insecure housing. refuge services are essential since these underprivileged individuals are in dire need of emergency refuge, transitional housing, and support. 

Our Shelter Services program aims to resolve this problem. For this, we collaborate with community partners, like Sub Urban Solutions and referral agencies, and nearby shelters to offer various supportive services to people and families facing homelessness or unstable housing. This includes help navigating the housing market, obtaining emergency shelter, locating secure and affordable homes, and connecting with agencies that provide case management, financial aid, and social services. We strive to provide a comprehensive range of shelter services that are targeted at homeless people and aim to overcome barriers to secure housing and achieve long-term success.

We hope that once they are provided with shelter, it can contribute to their overall well-being. 

To qualify for the program, people must reside within the boundaries of these Cook County South Suburbs. They must also be between the ages of 19 and 64. They should also fit the income requirements and be ineligible for several Medicaid categories.
